White tag board cut in a rectangular shape
Colored tissue paper
Scissors
Elmer’s glue
Q-tips to apply glue
Black Sharpies
Presentation: Discuss line and Modigliani.
Procedure:
- Pass out white tag board. Write names on back. Orient vertically.
- Using a light color, cut out a rectangle from the tissue paper. Glue it on the tag board.
- Draw an oval in the middle for a face.
- Tear out a different color of tissue paper the size of the oval you drew. Glue tissue paper over the oval.
- Tear out a rectangle for the shoulders. Glue it down below the oval. It’s ok if they overlap.
- Tear out a rough shape for the hair. Glue it down.
- Add any other desired details with tissue paper: lips, cheeks, etc.
- When the glue dries, draw around the face with black Sharpie. Add a curve for the body and lines for a neck.
- Draw stylized features and add details to the hair.
