Portable 159

It is a priviledge to have a shared space with PTSA at the portable 159 to have our preparation, storage needs taken care of and trainings done. Please respect this shared workspace which is instrumetal for PTSA and our EA preparation needs. Glass cabinet, Binders/ posters cabinet are in the portable since October 2022 and the workspace is ready with 6 rectangular tables and plenty of folding chairs. Please use the portable for your class preparation as needed. 

For those who haven’t been to the portable yet, this is a general guide to where to find things and a few ground rules –

1. To get to the portable, please check out/ check in the key from the office manager’s desk using the sheet provided.

2. As you enter, the first file drawer cabinet on your right is EA chair only. Please do not access them unless instructed.

3. Grade level binders, project example binders and posters are in the Explore Art cabinet (next tan cabinet on your right). This cabinet is always unlocked, no keys required to access this.

4. Posters, binders should be kept in place after each use.

5. Right next to the EA cabinet, there’s another unlocked cabinet with additional sets of empty trays for cut glass, reusable ziplock bags, some random boxes to catch glass shards while cutting and the big clay roller machine.

6. The last cabinet on the right wall is EA chair only.

7. The gray glass cabinet is on the back wall opposite to the smart board. This cabinet is always locked. To access this please sign in the Kiln/Cabinet keys at Mr. Heavyside’s desk. All glass tools, frits, cut glass, stringers, scraps are found here.

8. Please make sure you lock the glass cabinet after you are done.

9. Please use butcher paper and catcher bins when cutting glass.

10. Please use wipes (kept on top of the first file drawer cabinet) to wipe the table top after prepping glass or clay.

11. There are two rolling storage carts and two shelves in the back wall beside the glass cabinet for temporary storage which you all can use.

12. There are two bins for garbage, please use them as needed.

13. Turn off the lights on your way out when you are the last one leaving the portable.

14. Please remember to return the key to Mr. Heaviside and sign yourself out.
