Procedure:

  1. Pass out watercolor paper. Write names on back. Orient vertically.
  2. Draw a rectangle with Sharpie. Add an oval in the middle.
  3. Draw in simple eyes, nose, mouth, ears, and eyebrows.
  4. Draw a curved line for the shoulders and add lines for a neck.
  5. Draw in a few lines for the hair: short or long, straight or wavy.
  6. Mix a skin tone with red and orange watercolor. Roughly paint the face, making one side darker than the other.
  7. Paint one side of the hair yellow and the other side orange. Add orange to both sides by the neck.
  8. Paint the body and background. Make them darker on the same side as the face and hair.
